Dominique Kent

Board Member , The Live-in Care Hub

Dominique Kent was appointed to the Board of The Good Care Group in 2010. Moving from the residential care sector where she spent 7 years overseeing a portfolio of care homes, she was excited by the opportunity to create a high quality home care service that recognises the skills and experience of carers. With an ambition to recognise carers for the professionals they are, The Good Care Group now employs over 600 staff. One of the fastest growing care providers within the sector, the team are proud to be in recent receipt of an ‘outstanding’ rating from CQC.

Born in 1974, Dominique went to grammar school in Kent, before embarking in a career in food retail. Having worked in a number of senior roles in stores, she moved into a central strategic position and completed her Masters degree in management before embarking on her career in the care sector.

Dominique was appointed as a non-executive director to the board of the UKHCA in 2013, where she has enjoyed being a part of addressing sector wide home care issues as well as raising the awareness of Live-In Home care, an often over-looked, little known about care option. She was instrumental in the creation of the Live-In Care Hub, a growing collaboration of Live-In Care Providers working together to put live-in care on the map.

Dominique sees the issue facing the care sector as a challenge for all and believes addressing them together is critical in the creation of success.
