The care home sector has faced unprecedented challenges over the past year. The vaccination programme offers hope but the intense day-to-day challenge of delivering quality services during a pandemic continues. In the longer term, care home operators will need to re-build confidence in a sector that’s received adverse publicity over infection rates – despite the heroic efforts to maintain standards. 

Our panel of experts will consider how to support personalised, high quality care during this phase of the pandemic. What learnings from earlier in the pandemic are being applied now? With a potential solution to the pandemic being developed, how do care homes re-build public trust in their services, and what support do they need to achieve this? Many care home businesses were under pressure before the pandemic and successive lockdowns, what longer term reform of the sector is needed to promote sustainability?
