Coronavirus has impacted the NHS significantly and highlighted the prevalence of health inequalities across the UK, along with a pressing need for the NHS to address them and take action.

In this session hear about the CVD prevention priorities that  will support the NHS through a period of restoration and beyond, including initiatives such as home-based blood pressure monitoring for patients with uncontrolled hypertension, a national primary care audit, CVD PREVENT which will cover diagnosis and management of six high risk conditions to highlight gaps, identify inequalities and monitor improvement, and supporting 23 CCGs to improve the rate of anticoagulation for patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation which is proven to reduce the risk of a stroke.
