Rapid research and evaluation of health and care services: Lessons from COVID-19

25 Feb 2021
Re-imagining Innovation & Delivery

In the first wave of COVID-19, health and care services innovated and adapted at unprecedented speed to provide care during a rapidly developing global pandemic. This session will draw on recent rapid research to reflect on the barriers and facilitators to performing rapid, rigorous and effective evaluations of these changes. Professor Mike Roberts will present the findings and recommendations of a newly published AHSN Network White Paper, supported by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, that shares examples of good practice and sets out some of the system changes required to support rapid evaluation of health and social care services, using learning from COVID-19.
