Ascom UK presents ‘care home of the future’ technologies – that are benefitting residents now
Ascom's ‘care home of the future’ technologies are benefitting residents now
Long-term care digital solution specialist, Ascom, will be showcasing its latest technology at the Health Plus Care Show (stand F66). This will be presented across a range of solutions that are designed to enhance residents’ experience and streamline staff workflows.

Ascom, through its technology, is assisting in creating the new generation of care homes. These solutions discreetly protect and support residents, whilst enabling staff to focus more on personal care.

On its stand at the Health Plus Care Show, Ascom will showcase its Myco 3 Android device – an enterprise recommended smartphone that is validated by Google. This rugged device includes enhanced productivity tools to support streamlined information workflows and coordination for caregivers. Myco 3 helps to boost residents’ safety, privacy and enables personalised care. Ascom supplies around 17,000 devices across 1,800 UK care homes, with Myco 3 being the latest generation of mobile device, specifically designed for healthcare environments.

Also on Ascom’s stand, visitors can be guided through its Healthcare Platform – the orchestration platform to support the design and implementation of digital care and clinical workflows. Ascom’s Digistat software platform is designed to support care providers through the development of digital workflows, integrating data and events from multiple sources – including Nurse call systems - and managing autonomous alerts, communication and tasks to enable long-term care providers to access mission critical information and data at the point of care. The benefits to a care home provider include streamlined digital workflows, improved response times, reduction in alarm fatigue and more.

Another solution is SmartSense – part of Ascom’s Unite software suite – which has been created to support more personal, safer and efficient care. SmartSense enables remote monitoring with a range of sensors, cameras and AI (artificial intelligence) algorithms centred around personalise resident profiles, giving valuable data to support person-centred care. The streamlined digital workflows that are generated reduce unnecessary alerts, which maximising the dignity, independence and safety of residents.

Ascom is focused on helping providers establish the care home of the future, where technology is both discreet and powerful. The future is happening now, and the future of long-term care is connected.
