Why visit health

What’s the offer for delegates?

While other conferences get stuck on the minutia of policy, the Health+Care Show is here to support you to get on with the task of implementing changes, big and small, that will save time, money and ultimately lives.

Whatever part of the health and care system you come from, this conference will have practical tools and advice to share that are relevant to you and your organisation and help you to make a difference.

The conference agenda will deliver an element of policy and strategy and a reminder of the why the NHS needs to change in order to survive. However, the BIG FOCUS of Health+Care 2018 is going to be on HOW to make the changes that will turn around the NHS and make it fit for the next 70 years and beyond. How to improve care pathways, make efficiency savings, strengthen general practice, expand primary care, reconfigure hospitals, develop STPs and ACSs and engage effectively with patients and communities.

Transformation in action theatres

These non-clinical theatres will take a highly practical look at some of the priority areas where change needs to happen at scale and pace and how to deliver this at a granular level.

A series of ‘Transformation in Action’ workshops will be hosted here on both days, each focussing on a particular area of challenge/priority for the NHS. These workshops will consist of four 30 minute sessions where we will include sessions within each workshop for our core delegate groups – CCGs, NHS Trusts, Primary Care & Pharmacy, with relevance to adult social care and Local Authorities.

The Improving Care Pathways Theatre

The show will focus on a number of high-cost care pathways. We will look at how substantial savings have been made through service redesign involving collaboration between commissioners and providers across the pathway.

Through adopting the NHS RightCare approach, medicines optimisation, technology-enabled care and new models of service delivery, our expert speakers will demonstrate how to reduce costs, eliminate unwarranted variation and improve outcomes for patients. At the same time we will look at how your measure outcomes and maintain safety and quality standards throughout pathway transformation.

The STP & ICS Hub

This will be a mixture of STP, ACS content with a steer from NHSE’s Transforming Care team – but will be case study based from across the UK.

The Hub will run eight 75-minute sessions bringing STP, ACS leads, programme directors and new care model leads together to share learning and solutions around key challenges in the delivery of STPs and the creation of ACSs.

The Keynote Theatre

The Keynote Theatre will be an extension of content from The STP & ACS Hub, taking key topics and speakers into lively debates and more strategic detail. We will source leaders / senior directors from providers, CCGs, Primary Care and Local Authorities to talk about challenges and what they are doing to overcome them.

IPC theatres

The IPC theatres are a brand new feature at Health+Care, adding to the clinical proposition providing healthcare  professionals such as IPC leads, nursing directors, chief pharmacists, and medicines optimisation leads from hospitals and CCGs, hospice, and primary care with tailored content addressing the latest national guidelines but more importantly offering practical solutions and ‘how-to’ advice that delegates can put into practice.
