Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC): Clinical Pathways – An approach to reducing backlog and increasing productivity

19 May 2022
Care Quality & Efficiency Theatre

Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) are transforming how patients access and receive the care they need, closer to home. As with many health services, the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in increased pressures on diagnostic services, creating the need for radical change to improve services, patient outcomes and cope with the huge increase in demand.  CDCs offer the opportunity to transform clinical pathways, ensuring that they are efficient and effective and deliver the right tests, at the right time and in the right place to support early diagnosis and inform the advice and treatment for each patient.  The pathways will be innovative and transformative and will ensure the majority of tests are sequenced, offering convenience to patients, and provided earlier in patients journey, assisting elective recovery and meeting the faster diagnostics standard.

Join us for this interactive session to explore evidence-based case studies from across the country on how new clinical pathways are helping patients get the care they need quicker, as part of the CDC model of care
