This time it's personal: the benefits of a digitally reimagined outpatient service
With rising waiting lists and a huge backlog of elective care, the traditional outpatient model is no longer fit for purpose. Oxford University Hospitals has been working with DrDoctor to develop new ways to transform outpatient care, in a way that empowers patients, while helping to tackle the backlog. In this session, find out how the trust has used DrDoctor’s tools to provide Patient Initiated Follow Up (PIFU) services which are enabling more personalised care coordination. By enabling people to book and reschedule their own appointments, two thirds of follow up appointments could be removed. Discover how we can redesign healthcare and improve our outpatient follow-up offer in a way that works for people, makes them more engaged and tackles the elective backlog.
