Nadra Ahmed OBE

Nadra Ahmed OBE has been involved in the field of social care for over 40 years, initially as the Registered manager of her services. She was elected Chairman of National Care Association in 2001. Nadra is the Co-Convenor of the Cavendish Coalition, which was set up to represent Health and Social Care workforce issues during the Brexit negotiations. Nadra is a member of several advisory committees in the DHSC and the Home Office, including at Ministerial level, and has served on a number of government Taskforces. She has been appointed to numerous Boards including Skills for Care, SCIE and Parkinson’s UK during her career. Nadra currently holds various positions in voluntary organisations, delivering services to vulnerable people in the community as Patron, President as well as trustee at RBLI and a Governor of a Kent University. In 2006 she was awarded the OBE for her services to Social Care. Nadra is also a Kent Ambassador and Deputy Lieutenant of Kent. She is seen as a champion for Social Care by all national and international media outlets and throughout Covid 19 has been quoted extensively across the media.
